Lifeline presents the first tote designed not for convenience, but for survival. At rest, it appears ordinary. Hidden inside is a flotation system adapted from life-jacket technology.
It lives in a quiet contradiction. It reflects the resilience of a city that continues moving through disruption, while also pointing to a reality still widely ignored: that climate change is already reshaping daily life.
The work exists as a symptom of the world we've built and an inquiry into the cultural and environmental conditions that give rise to an object that should never need to exist.
